- Confusion upon confusion!! You can be connected at 24,000 V-whatever amd still
- only get TRANSFER rates (NOT CONNECT) much under your connect speed. FYI I'm
- externally connected (usually 28,800) but my xfer rates can come down to 200
- bps rather than the preferred 30-35,000 bps. How can I tell? My modem log
- tells me the xfer rate, plus utility which monitors xfer rates (yes, with
- flashing lights!!) and whilst my CONNECT remains steady (unless DIS!!), my
- xfer rates vary tremendously. I prefer external as I retain the ultimate
- sanction - switch the ?$%?$% off!!!!!
